Kahele Attends “Kanaʻiolowalu” And Signs The Native Hawaiian Roll

State Senator Gil Kahele joined fellow members of the hawaiian community and our state government to officially launch Kanaʻiolowalu, a year long campaign for the Native Hawaiian Roll Commission to create a registry of Native Hawaiians as they pursue self governance. The dayʻs events began at Mauna ʻAla (resting place for Hawaiiʻs Moʻi) with a hawaiian protocol ceremony and then moved to Washington Place for the official ceremony and signing of the roll. The commissions goal is to register 200,000 native hawaiians in the state and abroad. HONOLULU, Hawaiʻi – Hawaiiʻs Ambassador of Aloha, Danny Kaleikini spent production time at Ohana Broadcasting today in Honolulu to record his upcoming adʻs for his good friend State Senator Gil Kahele. As the emcee, host and master of ceremonies for next weekʻs “Get Out The Vote” rally for Gil, Danny wanted to convey his message of why he supports Gilʻs candidacy for State Senate and why the entire Hilo community should come out next week for a night of fun, prizes and entertainment!

BAY FRONT, Hilo – A sea of blue unlike anything Hilo has seen in a long time turned out to show a massive wave of support for State Senator Gil Kahele and his run for the State Senate District One seat in Hilo! More than 300 hundred people from the Hilo community, from all walks of life, from all ethnic backgrounds gathered at the Hilo Bay Front at 4PM for one hour of mass sign waving. It was an awesome experience had by all and was led by their candidate from Hilo, State Senator Gilbert Kahele, candidate for State Senate District One.
